Jane Martinson is the Guardian’s associate editor (media) and former women’s editor.
Since joining the Guardian as US business correspondent, her roles have included news editor and media editor with her own weekly interview. As women’s editor she was shortlisted for the Rosemary Goodchild award and set up the women’s blog. Before joining the Guardian she worked at the Financial Times.
She read English at Cambridge and attended City University’s journalism school before starting her career at the South Wales Echo in Cardiff. She is a former chair and current committee member of Women in Journalism.
