Helen Burrows is head of media policy in BT’s Group Strategy, Policy and Portfolio team, covering TV, convergence and copyright issues. She is a member of the Creative Industries Council’s Access to Finance working group and wrote the Council’s report on access to finance for the sector.
She was the founding director of Private Office, a strategic consultancy enabling businesses and their senior people to take charge of their reputations and was formerly a research associate at the think tank Demos, leading research projects into the creative industries. From 2008 to early 2011 Helen was policy advisor to Ed Vaizey MP who became Culture, Creative Industries and Communications Minister in May 2010.
Prior to this Helen was a photographer, writer and policy advisor with specialisms in music, fashion and the arts.
