Ed Vaizey MP

minister of state for culture and the digital economy

Ed Vaizey is currently the minister of state for culture and the digital economy in the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), and Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS). He was shadow minister for the arts from 2006 to 2010 and was appointed parliamentary under secretary of state for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries in May 2010.

He has previously worked as a political researcher, a political speech writer, a freelance journalist and a barrister. From 1996 to 2004 he was director of a public relations company.
