Nihal Arthanayake is an award winning broadcaster, journalist and DJ. He presents the morning show on the BBC Asian Network, debating important issues affecting British Asians.
He regularly contributes to BBC Radio 5 Live and presents specialist music programmes on BBC Radio 1. His radio shows have won him ‘Best Speech Programme’ and ‘The Specialist Music Award’ at the Sony Radio Academy Awards. He has also won ‘Best Radio Show’ at the UK Asian Music Awards. Nihal sits on the board of London’s Southbank Centre and was a cultural ambassador for the London 2012 Olympic Bid.
