Sereena Abbassi, Head of Culture & Inclusion, M&C Saatchi Group

Sereena Abbassi is the recently appointed Head of Culture & Inclusion for the M&C Saatchi Group and the Founder of All Here.

Sereena is committed to creating a fairer and more understood world, by bridging the gap between society’s many intersections, by supporting individuals and agencies to think more critically about our world, and the work that they create. Also, working closely with various educational institutions regarding the attainment of their BAME students.

Sereena believes that the advertising industry has the ability to directly challenge some of the prejudice rhetoric that we see within some media outlets. She believes that advertising can be used for good; transforming and inspiring a more connected and empathetic world. As creative’s, we are in a unique position that allows space for all of our individual and collective experiences (diversity) to be brought together and shared, and where all our distinct nuances have the opportunity to be celebrated (inclusion).

Sereena has worked with organisations such as Creative Equals on their D&I strategy, and she is one of the D&I experts advising the UK advertising & media industry’s Diversity Taskforce. Advising agencies such as Grey, Mediacom, FCB Inferno, Dentsu and Wieden & Kennedy to name but a few.

Sereena is currently working towards her Masters (part-time) in Postcolonial Culture & Global Policy, which sits within the Media & Communications Department at Goldsmiths, University of London. Where she’ll be continuing her research/study into a part-time Ph.D.

Sereena is a former Visual, Sonic & Performance Artist. Having started her career as a creative at The Brit School at the age of 14 years old. Since then, her creativity has found its home in D&I strategy. Supporting individuals, agencies, and brands to create their future, with diversity, inclusion, and accessibility sitting at the heart of what she does.
