David Wheeldon joined Sky in 2007 and has handled a wide range of issues including occasional takeover bids, endless policy reviews and even the odd piece of legislation.
Now he looks after policy, government engagement and industry issues across all of Sky’s six European markets, spending far too much time in Brussels.

He was educated at York University and began his career, improbably, as a university administrator before accidentally becoming a political bag carrier.
When not thinking deeply about media policy he indulges his compatible obsessions of climbing mountains and skiing down them.
